dwg. is looking for a qualified project manager to join our creative family of collaborative design professionals. Salary commensurate with experience.

 

Established in 2010, dwg. is a growing firm dedicated to working on innovative projects in the urban core. Our success as a design firm has been fueled by the passions and interests of our staff. The individual chosen to fill this position will be an integral part of our strategic development and will be encouraged to apply their personal passions and talents in our studio.

 

We expect applicants to be ready and willing to step into a project leadership role and begin overseeing project deliverables and administration within 90 days of starting.
Project managers will be part of a larger studio team composed of principals, project managers and design staff that support each other on a variety of project types, scales and phases. Project managers are expected to manage 5-6 active projects in various stages of development simultaneously.

Skills Required:

Our ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of professional experience and 3 years experience managing projects .

A candidate must also demonstrate the following requirements:

  • Competent in all forms of communication with public speaking and presentation experience
  • Design process experience and proficiency (university or professional examples required)
  • Ability to contribute to the documentation process of a construction drawing set
  • Knowledge and experience of public and private projects
  • Local permitting knowledge

 

A candidate must also have proficiency regarding:

  • Google email/docs
  • Basecamp or other collaborative software
  • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator)
  • Sketch-Up
  • Rhino
  • AutoCad
  • Bluebeam
  • Ajera
  • Revit
  • Pencil, paper, glue (options are endless)
  • PlanGrid

 

And should also:

  • be passionate about doing good work,
  • confident in their skill set but comfortable acknowledging areas needing improvement
  • be excited about actively contributing to a dynamic design team,
  • a believer in the “yes, and…” philosophy
  • be flexible/open and ready to influence change
  • have high expectations of self and firm, and be willing to hold both accountable
  • value the team’s commitment to clients, our work and each other
  • love Star Wars and/or David Hasselhoff
Education Requirements: 6-8 years in Landscape Architecture, Architecture or Urban Planning with 3 years experience managing projects.
