BFS OPPORTUNITIES
Project Manager for Monterey Office:  Landscape architect with 6-8 years or more continuous experience in a similar US-based small to medium-sized landscape architecture office. The service-oriented candidate with a strong design focus will be expected to manage projects of various sizes from concept through construction administration. The individual should bring demonstrated verbal and graphic communication skills and the proven ability to work within a collaborative team while providing direction to support staff.

Designer for Mountain View Office:  Landscape designer with 1-3 years or more continuous experience in a similar US-based small to medium-sized landscape architecture office. Support staff are expected to assist with site and landscape design from planning through construction documents and gain an early understanding of applicable codes and ordinances.

Creative thinking, problem-solving, and a dedication to quality are important aspects of both jobs. Our office offers opportunities for involvement with the community in public outreach, working directly with clients through the design and in the field during construction. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Project Manager:  Skills should include communication with clients, collaboration with consultants, construction observation, as well as mentoring support staff, and managing budgets and schedules. Experience with cost estimates and CSI technical specifications is a plus. Software skills must include AutoCAD (2016 and newer), Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office Suite. Driving to project sites and meetings is required. Landscape licensure is preferred.

Designer: Skills must include the ability to develop conceptual sketches and presentation materials supported by hand and computer graphics. Software skills must include AutoCAD (2016 and newer), Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Production skills for both positions must include experience with design detailing and extensive production of construction documents with the ability to adapt to new standards. A passion for planting design is highly valued, with a knowledge of California native plants.

Education Requirements:

Requirements include a degree in landscape architecture from a U.S. institution. Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
