Experience:
We are looking for landscape architect/project managers for our Monterey and Mountain View offices with 8+ years of experience in a similar US-based small to medium sized landscape architecture office. Ideal design candidates will have a strong client-service focus and be able to manage landscape architectural projects of various sizes from concept through construction administration. The individuals will demonstrate leadership qualities and initiative with the desire and proven ability to work on multi-disciplinary teams, with support staff and principals. These are full-time, in-office position with local travel to project sites.

Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills include the ability to assist senior staff with proposal writing and participating in client presentations.

Design skills must include the ability to develop conceptual studies and presentation materials supported by strong hand and computer graphics. Grading, drainage, planting and stormwater management design should show in the work examples presented. Experience with local construction materials and region-specific detailing is preferred. Knowledge of irrigation design and California native plants is a plus. Production experience with extensive production of bid-ready construction documents is a must to mentor emerging staff designers. 

Project management skills should include communication with clients, collaboration with consultants and contractor project teams. The ability to delegate work and mentor/train support staff, along with managing project budgets and schedules is expected. Demonstrable software skills must include AutoCAD (2014 and newer), Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office Suite. 

Education Requirements:

Requirements include a degree in landscape architecture from a U.S. institution, and a minimum of 8 years of continuous landscape architectural office experience in the U.S. Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. A California license is preferred; candidates who are willing to take reciprocity licensure in California within a couple of months of arrival will be considered.
